Quality coffee is consumed widely across Northern Ireland, where The Belfast Coffee Co. tradition can be traced back to the 'heydays' of the Harland and Wolff dockyards in the 1800's Thousands of workers were employed to build grand ships, The most famous being the RMS TITANIC of the White Star Line. At the time of her construction in 1909, the Titanic was the largest man-made object on earth, and set sail carrying 2200lbs of coffee.
